Hajj Travel
Alhumdulillah! During the blessed month of Dhul Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar, and the month of Hajj, annually millions make the journey and sacrifice to commemorate and follow in the footsteps of Abraham and his wife Hagar.
.
Many of us were unable to make the Hajj pilgrimage this year due to the pandemic. However, there are still many ways for us to reap the blessings of this month. The video below is of the arrival tawaf ( Circumambulation of the Holy Kaa’ba) for Hajj 2020.
.
Every year, I am reminiscent of our pilgrimage (The Hajj) journey with the hubster in 2014 with our Hajj guides @hajjpros
.
Reflecting on the experience and Abraham's (peace be upon him) submission to the command of God to sacrifice what he loved. As he was prepared to carry out the command, God revealed to him that his "sacrifice" had already been fulfilled.
.
Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) is the greater of the two Eids (Islamic festival) and will be celebrated on July 31st this year. It starts on the 10th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, at the end of the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca.
.
This festival commemorates the sacrifice of Prophet Abraham (may peace be upon him).
.
On this day Muslims sacrifice a goat, sheep, or camel to symbolize their willingness to share their blessings by providing meat to those in need.
.
.
This year, the day of Eid al-Adha will begin with prayers at home followed by socially distanced visits with family and friends to exchange greetings, food and gifts.
.
This year I will be celebrating the holiday via zoom!🖥I wish you and your family a safe, healthy and blessed season.
.
May Allah accept our intentions, worship, fasting, sacrifice and allow all those who wish to visit the opportunity ameen!
