Nutrition Counseling

I'm excited to share that nutrition counseling is considered a Qualified Medical Expense (QME) by most FSA and HSA providers, including Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. This means you can use your benefits to prioritize your well-being and receive expert guidance on achieving your health goals.

To learn more about how you can use your FSA or HSA for nutrition counseling please schedule a consultation.

To get started on your journey towards optimal health and wellness, we invite you to fill out the Nutrition Prescriptions Assessment Form.

Aetna considers nutritional counseling a medically necessary preventive service for children and adults who are obese, and for adults who are overweight and have other cardiovascular disease risk factors  when it is furnished by a provider (e.g., licensed nutritionist, registered dietician) recognized under the plan.

CIGNA offers nutritionist coverage for preventative care and nutritional counseling. Nutritional counseling means that a registered dietitian helps you learn about a healthy eating plan. This plan and other suggestions fit your or your family's needs.

By working with a nutritionist or dietitian who is in-network with United Healthcare, clients can be assured that the services they receive will be covered by their insurance plan, which can lead to lower out-of-pocket expenses and easier claims processes.
