I’m YaQutullah Ibraheem Muhammad MS, RDN, LD. I love Nutrition, cooking, teaching and traveling. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and Masters degree in Health Sciences and Nutrition from Georgia State University in Atlanta Georgia.
During my undergraduate studies, I was blessed with the opportunity to study abroad at the American University in Cairo, Egypt and at the International Islamic University in Malaysia.
I've worked clients on improving health outcomes related to diabetes and weight management, cardiac disease, blood pressure and cholesterol management since 2007. Another one of my favorite creative projects is developing Halal certified recipes for Halal Consumer Magazine. I love teaching and had the opportunity to develop summer course content for three undergraduate nutrition courses at the University of Wisconsin Madison. I’m excited to teach the virtual courses God willing.
In down time and usually on a sunny Saturday, you can find me running around Atlanta and for sure the Atlanta Beltline, popping into a good Atlanta food festival, writing and most anything related to food.
I believe in providing user friendly evidence-based food and nutrition counseling and resources to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. I grew up in Atlanta and Detroit Michigan and my fondest memories of my childhood was going to Eastern Market with my Dad on Saturday morning to get the freshest produce and fresh meats. My dad also owned farmland in Meriwhether county in South Georgia where he grew collards, watermelon, corn, okra and other produce fresh from the field. My dad also raised and slaughtered livestock for the family and community. With my dad being a butcher and a farmer in the early 80’s, my childhood was far from ordinary and travel and farm living was key in my early learning environment.
